Basicly it's using VBS scripting to copy clipboard...
I`ve replicated similliar technique also using VBS Scripting and bat script as a POC..
It's very innovative attack for Phishing....

I used to get streamyx password account number through IE 6 & IE 7 back a while ago..
Didn't know this sort of trickery using VB is still feasible under Microsoft Windows and modern IE
owh it's still work under Modern IE , u just need to ehem modified the trustzone a lil bit and it's good
