Anime Festival Asia 2008 !!

It's been 8 years since I've set my foot in the Lion City. 2 months earlier i read the news there's goin to be AFA08 held in Singapore and I was like owh man I should go , I should go!!!

Well the beginning of my trip wasn't exactly as nice as I was expected. I have a little "CSD check" at Woodland Checkpoint because my passport stated that I'm from Terengganu. (Negerist?)



It's nice to see hikokimori and otaku cultures cultivate nicely in South East Asia.

I would love to eloborate more but it's just totally awesome. How i wish such event could be held here with a blast in Malaysia Meh don`t think it's possible even in 10 years.

So to sum up everything:

• The event is nice
• The merchandise is nice !!
• The cosplayers are cool!!!
  
• The concerts are damn nice. Next time i should buy the VIP Pass.

Rotten Treasurer and Stupid Money Monkey!!

If you are wondering what it's all about : Read this first

Since this week i started my work from midnight till dawn so I've got some free times during daytime and head down to the most famous "University in Shah Alam". The issue is still not settle yet until today , but here's some of the dialogue that i recalled on that day.

Me: Sir, I would like to ask about our winning prizes from a competition which being held like 3 months ago.

Mr.X: We already give each respective winners their prizes.

Me: We still didn't get it and that's why I'm here.

Mr.X: Owh, yes there was a problem before (he goes inside the room where the treasurer rules her treasure). It's already being settled this week. We already taking care of it.

Me: Really, can you confirm it to me when exactly we can get the prizes? How do you actually do the transaction? Cheque deposit? Giro bank transfer? When is it? etcx3. ( I shoot up all to this guy).

Mr.X: Urm,. (he goes back in to the room reporting to the treasurer). It's already being settled, by the end of this week you guys should received your prizes.

Me: Can't you guys get more serious into this matter? We are talking bout transferring money more then 10k . Couldn't you just let me know when exactly is the date you guys going to do the transaction.

Mr.X: Don't worry we are going to take care of it. By the end of this week, you can withdraw your money from your respective accounts.

Me: (I don`t believe an inch of it!!) Sure here's my namecard and please call me asap as soon as the transaction is done. You could at least fax me some receipt/invoice/logs etcx3.

Mr.X: We will do that, don't worry.


And today this morning....

(09:09:21 AM) friend: smlm ***** call mmbr ak

(09:09:31 AM) me: yg team die dah dapat
(09:09:33 AM) me: 2 team lagi tak pat
(09:09:43 AM) friend: ***** kate tmask lbh kt c adam tu

This must be on of the stupidest treasurer ever exist on this country. How could you accidently cash in "terlebey suda" into another person account withour realising it. Yet we still didn't have a news about our winning prizes.

So if you are looking for carrier in Treasurer/Accountant this particular Uni in Shah Alam is a good place Why?

• You don't need to deal with peoples directly. Just send your lackey at the counter and let him/her be the middle man.
• You don't need to verify if an account number is exist or not. If you need to do some transaction. Just do it!! Tak payah check check.
• You only need to work out when the money comes in. Ignore any withdrawal request.
• They have 6 treasurer!! So you can rotate the blame with each other.

Ah well the only thing i like to say right now is: Fakap !!!!

So it's finally ends!!!

Alhamdulilah, we managed to run this awesome conference for the past two days. Yeah there are several issues goin on but I'm glad things just work out well.

As a part of the crew for #foss-my I would to express my gratitude towards the sponsors,(Thanks for the cool gifts),speakers (Pia we should make an S&S Popcorn),the volunteers (Gurdip and the gang, also all the girls who help me to prepare lunch and tea breaks), and last but not least the eleven warriors!!(Especially Kagesenshi for being a multitasking worker)

I guess life returns to normal for most of us tomorrow :(


Again I would like to apologize if there's something wrong going on during the event (especially the food part). Cheers !!!
